As an animal communicator, I am gifted with the ability to communicate with all animals, live and those crossed over. This is not unique, there are many of us out there. However, each communicator has a unique way of receiving and understanding the messages received.
For me, the ability to communicate well began when I became a Reiki Practitioner and then even more when I became a Reiki Master. I say, "communicate well" because I always had the ability. I did not always know what it was and believed it was my imagination or creativity. Turns out, I am not that imaginative or creative, it WAS the animals talking to me all along!
I am a visual person and a tactile person. Because of this, Spirit allows the animals to send me images of what they think about, want to do, or a special memory. The tactile part makes me a great massage therapist and is another way the animals express themselves through me. Sometimes, I feel a sensation or slight discomfort which tells me that is an area the animals wish to discuss.
Spirit also likes to drop things into my head out of the blue. This could be a number, a word, a vision of something, or even a song. This is how Spirit communicates with me. So, during an animal communication session, sometimes Spirit comes in to help me understand or help the animals express themselves more clearly.
There is another part of animal communication that is very important to understand. Every animal is unique. There may be similarities within families or breeds of animals, but each individual possesses their own personality and their own way of thinking. They come to me with their perceptions of their experiences, including cultural differences they pick up from their humans. I spend some time before each session, connecting with the animals and feeling them out to find the best way to communicate with them and gain an understanding of what they are feeling.
As unique individuals, they may be very chatty and expressive, or the more silent. They can be curious or nonchalant, bossy or demure. Personalities change with age, just like they do with humans. Some animals do not like others. It is not guaranteed that all your animals will get along. After all, humans do not like all humans either. A session with me, brings forth who the animal is at that moment. They present themselves as they wish to be seen. This may or may not be how their humans view them. It is an amazing experience and helps humans understand their animal companions.
It is because of the intricacy and richness of the communication sessions that I limit to 1 and sometimes 2 animals. They LOVE the time to speak and express themselves after a lifetime without it. Even if the information is not crucial, it is their feelings and thoughts. Humans do know their animals well, for the most part. It is the deeper level of feelings and thoughts that we get to by communicating with them.
I also have sessions with animals that have crossed over. These sessions are often very touching, healing, and joyful. The animal's soul is freed from the earthly body. They are no longer tethered to things of the earth. They choose to remain connected in energy to their humans. The animal's soul connects to me and shares information. They are often with others who have crossed over, and while I typically do not connect with human spirits, sometimes they do appear and have a few things to say. I always welcome any messages and relay them promptly to my client. Animals do not have to have known the person in life to connect with them after death. A dog's soul may be with the soul of a great-grandmother was never met in life. That is fine. Souls find each other and join together. After all, all souls return to Source.
